Coastal Engineering CMO provides customers with innovative solutions for ports, coastal development and waterfront facilities. CMO's engineering and technical services include metocean analysis, coastal site selection, numerical modelling, design of marine structures, shoreline protection and beach restoration.
Marine Structure
CMO offers a wide range of engineering and technical solutions for maritime projects. CMO specializes in the following areas:
Mooring analysis and design
Design of marine structures such as jetties, wharfs, jackets, fenders, dolphins, SPMs, and submarine pipelines
Pile design
Calculation of wind, wave and current loads on piles and vessels.
Numerical Modelling Engineers in CMO have over 20 years of experience in applying multidimensional numerical models for engineering and environmental projects. They have extensively used wave, hydrodynamic, sediment transport and water quality models to test different design options and scenarios in accurate and efficient manner. CMO provides modelling support in the following areas:
Offshore and Nearshore waves;
Harbour resonance and tranquility;
Currents and flows in coast, river and lakes;
Sediment transport and morphology;
Thermal dispersion;
Water quality.
CMO's engineers used a range of numerical modelling suites including MIKE 3/21, Delft3D, and CENSIS for simulating tsunami, storm surge and coastal flooding for comprehensive assessment of coastal hazards. They have also provided modelling support for major LNG development projects in Canada, dredging analysis, EIA and permitting processes. They are highly experienced in applying different types of water quality models for assessing outfall performance and chemical fate transport processes by resolving partitioning and bio-accumulation of target parameters in aquatic environment.
